CURRENT NEWS / EVENTS

SUNDAY, JUNE 7 - GRADUATION SUNDAY
Please join us for the Sacrament of Holy Communion. You do not need to be a member to receive the bread and cup. We’ll celebrate all our recent graduates from high school, college, and those earning special degrees!

Summer Sunday School begins June 14th.
Join us from June 14 to August 23 for Sunday School with a First Century crafts theme. We will re-create Bible times in costume, arts, crafts, and activities.
We have a full line-up of adult volunteers to help us. Bake bread from the time period, learn pottery, make a potter's wheel, hear stories, and see a First Century Magic Show.
This will all happen at the regular Sunday School time:
during the 10:30 AM worship service until 11:45.
We ask parents to make every effort to give your child this great summer opportunity!

Message from Maxine Johns, Our Parish Nurse:
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women. In fact, 1 in 3 women die of heart disease. 'Go Red for Women' through the American Red Cross, celebrates the energy , passion and power we have as women to band together to wipe out heart disease and stroke.
Learn the signs of a heart attack:

  • Chest discomfort

  • Pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach

  • Shortness of breath, nausea, lightheadedness, or breaking out in a cold sweat

The American Heart Association has a website specifically for women at www.goredforwomen.org. There is a wealth of information regarding heart disease and stroke prevention to help you protect your heart. Take the risk factor quiz and learn more about risk factors you can vs. risk factors you can't control. 'Your heart is in your hands'.
