RAISE YOUR VOICE!

  • Choir has begun rehearsing Wednesdays,
    (7:30-9:00 p.m).  Every Wednesday,
you are invited to come to Journey of Faith (JoF) dinner at 6:00 p.m.until rehearsal time begins.
If you would like to join the choir, please feel free to contact Judith Melander for more information
    at (612) 807-2124.
Let’s grow our choir - every voice counts!
  • More about the choir
    • The choir provides a variety of anthems for our worship services, which range from classical to gospel.  We will begin regular rehearsals in the Fall. Rehearsals are held downstairs in the choir room from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., and new members of any voice part are welcome!  The ability to read music is a plus, but not required -- just be sure to bring your voice and your enthusiasm for great music. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Sanctuary Choir Director Judith Melander at (612)807-2124.
    • St. Paul's UCC has strived for excellence in its music program for over 70 years.   In the course of that time, the Sanctuary Choir has compiled a library of more than five hundred (500) anthems and choral works. Judith Melander is the director and Geoff Olson is the organist.  The choir has enjoyed a real sense of family.  We party together and support each other in time of trial.  We have worked together to put on an annual German pork and sauerkraut dinner which has proved to be extremely popular.  Another fund-raiser has been selling soft drinks and coffee during intermission of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra concerts.

Two Music CDs Available for Purchase - Wedding and Easter Songs
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the organ fund! While the organ has held up very well since the original organ was built in 1918; it occasionally needs repairs and improvements over and above the normal maintenance costs. Your contributions will ensure that our beautiful organ continues to fill the sanctuary with inspiring sound and musical support for the congregation and choir.

such as wedding music, Christmas music, and/or
organ favorites. If you

WEDDING MUSIC from St. Paul's UCC
Geoff Olson, organist and Judith Melander, soloist

Our organist, Geoff Olson, has put together another CD of organ music. This one features favorite wedding music, including Pachelbel's Canon, several trumpet tunes, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, Beethoven's Hymn to Joy and Mozart's Alleluiah.

This CD also includes a special treat--two songs by our music director, Judith Melander--The Lord's Prayer and Ava Maria. The CD is free with a minimum contribution of $20 to St. Paul's organ fund.

Please see Geoff at church or give him a call at home at 651-490-0732 to get your copy. Remember, all proceeds go toward the church's organ fund. Make a contribution and you will be doing something good for your ears and for the organ.  P.S. The previous CD of Lenten and Easter music is available for an additional contribution.
