The Children’s Ministry has gotten off to an excellent start this year! I want to say thank you to all our teachers - Lynn Carroll, Mary Joyce, Curtis Loewe, Craig Miller, Kristine Miller, Lori Peiffer, and Darrell Videen. They are the backbone of this program. This Fall our children have learned about welcoming others through the story of Blind Bartimaeus, about the difference between earthly wealth and eternal wealth with Jesus and the Rich Man, and about the power of faithfulness and friendship with the story of Ruth and Naomi. Activities have included skits, poster making, making friendship bracelets, chalking the walk, and art projects. Now, we are transitioning to the season of Advent and Christmas. Children are an essential part of this season. This year our children will be responsible for the Hanging of the Greens on Sunday, December 6 and they will be having their annual Christmas Pageant on Sunday, December 20. Both will take place during the 10:30 worship time. The upcoming Sunday School schedule is as follows: · November 22: Prepare for the Hanging of the Greens · November 29: Prepare for the Hanging of the Greens
·
Saturday December 5: Hanging of the
Greens Rehearsal (with costumes) · December 6: Hanging of the Greens/ Prepare for Pageant · December 13: Prepare for Pageant · Saturday December 19: Pageant Rehearsal (with costumes) 10:30 AM -12:30 PM · December 20: Pageant · December 27: Carol Singing in the Chapel for the whole family (No Sunday School) · January 3: Worship (No Sunday School) · January 10: Sunday School Resumes. We need full participation from the children for the Hanging of the Greens and for the Christmas Pageant. Please make sure that your children are at Sunday School during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 612-702-3430 or John Burrell, Children’s Ministry Coordinator

Some were in a JAM, ESpecially since the names of the books were not capitalized. But the tRUTH finally struck home to NUMBERS of our readers. To others it was a real JOB. We want it to be A MOSt fascinating few moments for you. YES, THERe will be some really easy ones to spot. Others may require JUDGES to help them. I will quickly admiT IT USually takes a minister to find one of them and there will be loud LAMENTATIONS when it is found. A little lady says sHE BREWS a cup of tea so she can concentrate better. See how well you can comPETE. Relax now, for there really are sixteen names of books of the Bible in this paragraph. |
